The Calgary Motorcycle Roadracing Association (CMRA) was back on track with their 2024 race weekend August 2 through 4. Founded in 1987 the CMRA was based out of Calgary’s Race City facility until its closure following the 2011 season.
With the opening of the Rocky Mountain Motorsports facility, the 3.6-kilometre, 19-turn, TILKE-designed road course located 40 minutes north of Calgary provided the CMRA with a new home track as competition resumed in 2023, reigniting the both the local and regional motorcycle racing communities.
Following a successful inaugural 2023 RMM race weekend, this year’s event saw the Calgary club return the Western Canadian Motorcycle Roadracing Championship, hosting rounds three and four of the six round series, which wraps up October 11 to 13 at British Columbia’s Mission Raceway Park.
Inside Motorcycles was trackside for this year’s CMRA races and congratulates each and every one of the competitors who came out to race. Without doubt race fans in attendance were treated to top calibre performance in each and every class.
