TORONTO, Ont. — The 5th annual Motorcycle Road Racers Reunion (MRRR) will be held on Saturday August 10 in conjunction with the Mopar CSBK Superbike Doubleheader Weekend at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.
This year features a “Superbike Celebration” with several former and current Canadian Superbike champions and other top riders from over the past decades on hand to celebrate Superbike Racing at the track.
This year’s “Guest of Honour” is Bar Hodgson, who is celebrating his 75th birthday year and has been a big supporter of Superbike racing as a sponsor and race promoter over the years. Hodgson will display a number of the classic Superbike machines that have raced at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (Mosport) from his vast motorcycle collection.
This year’s Superbike Celebration group will take part in an autograph session during the lunch hour on Saturday, August 10. Race fans will be able to get a free signed copy of a special full colour Motorcycle Road Racers Reunion poster that is being produced for the event.
This year’s list of Superbike Celebration riders includes Kathleen Coburn, Toni Sharpless, Lang Hindle, Rueben McMurter, Art Robbins, Norm Murphy, George Morin, Michael Taylor, Steve Crevier, Gary Goodfellow and Jordan Szoke. Look for a number of other prominent Superbike racers to be confirmed in the weeks leading up to the event.
