In what Kawasaki is presenting as ‘the biggest day in Ninja’ history on the World’s largest stage’, Kawasaki will take over New York City’s Times Square today. From 11:00AM to 8:00PM ET, join Kawasaki or watch the live simulcast at Kawasaki.com/NinjaNYC from 1:30 to 2:30PM ET.

Kawasaki has already revealed details about their all new Ninja 300 coming to the Canadian market, but certain bikes remain to be revealed, including the much anticipated, highly rumoured return of the popular Ninja 636 model.

Showing their appreciation to the host city, Kawasaki has also announced that they will be providing two sport bikes to City Harvest, in order that they may auction them off for charity at their major Bid Against Hunger Fundraiser on October 16.

Chris Brull, Kawasaki’s director of marketing, announced the donation and said it is intended to remind people that today’s Times Square environment, a hub of activity, entertainment, and a multitude of restaurant options, wasn’t always that way.  And, as he said, “There are still altogether too many people who go to bed each night without having had much to eat during the day.

According to Robyn Stein, City Harvest’s director of corporate partnerships, “This fundraiser draws New York City’s most charitable citizens as well as members of the press, business leaders, foodies, and celebrity chefs, and the unifying element is their concern for others who are less fortunate,” she said.  “The Kawasaki donations will go a long way towards helping feed some of the one million people City Harvest helps feed each year, and we expect the auction interest to soar, especially after this week’s Times Square event.”

Today’s new model unveiling takes place as part of a ‘Times Square Takeover’ event celebrating Kawasaki’s tag line, ‘Let the Good Times Roll’. The event takes place live from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m., stretching up Broadway from West 45th Street to West 47th Street.  With activities appealing to adults and children, the launch will be streamed live on the Internet at 2:00 p.m.
