Wednesday, 18 March 2015- Dorna WSBK is pleased to announce the arrival of a new partner for the 2015 and 2016 editions of the eni FIM Superbike World Championship.

Italian company Progrip, for 40 years involved in the production of plastic materials and already with a high-profile presence in motocross racing, will be the series’ Technical Supplier. Progrip will provide the teams with technical support, with the goal of testing its products in motorcycle racing at world level and then transfer the same technology to customers around the world.

Progrip’s presence will be visible not only on the many bikes racing in the series, but also at trackside and at the SBK Village, the area where customers and motorcycle enthusiasts can try first-hand the products of the different partners of the Championship during the Italian rounds of the season.

Marc Saurina, WSBK Commercial & Marketing Director: “It is a pleasure to welcome Progrip as a new Technical Supplier to the series. Once again, our close relationship with the production side of motorcycling allows such an important brand to test its high-tech racing items that one day will reach the road-bike customer, in an ever-growing market.

Augusto Franchi, Progrip Owner: “After years of significant presence in the world of motocross, Progrip has chosen to become one of the sponsors of the biggest production-based motorcycle racing championship. It is a real pleasure for us to get closer to the many Superbike fans, in order to promote our products and our high-quality standards to street riders around the world. We are confident it will be a spectacular season and we are proud to be part of it.”
