Michael Leon and the Royal Distributing Racing Team will not continue to race the MV Agusta F3 675 in the CSBK Sport Bike class.
Technical issues with the team’s F3 sidelined Michael during practice, in July, for round two of the Mopar Canadian Superbike Championship, held at Autodrome St-Eustache, rendering competition in the event impossible.
Unfortunately the team will not be unable to recover from the difficulties and will not compete in the final National doubleheader round at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park or any other remaining events of the 2014 season.
“The MV Agusta F3 has great potential and I’m very disappointed that I won’t be able to race it again,” Leon said. “I’m confident that with enough resources we could be competitive with the machine but we simply do not have the technical support to be able to continue with the racing program. It will be difficult for us not to be competing.”
The Royal Distributing Team would like to apologize to all of the sponsors, supporters and fans that have supported the F3 program thus far and who were expecting to see exciting results for the MV Agusta brand in Canada in 2014.
Leon and Royal Distributing look forward to future opportunities for racing in Canada.
