So what’s in the May issue of Inside Motorcycles, you ask? Well, if you must know…

We review two new kids on the block, the Kawasaki Ninja 300 and the Honda CRF250L. On the small bike theme, Managing Editor Graeme Jones explains in his ‘Inside Line’ editorial how sub-500 cc bikes are now more than just for beginners and small people, and we also profile some of the bigger scooter offerings, bikes that might just impress motorcycle riders who think scooters aren’t for real men.

The big news is that Toni Sharpless has joined the IM fold as our newest columnist. She’ll be pulling from her years of experience as an international road racer, off-roader and industry insider to provide insightful columns on a regular basis. Welcome, Toni!

In touring fun, ‘Vintage Gone Modern’ columnist Steve Hoffarth takes us to Daytona Bike week, Larry Tate offers up some long-distance touring advice from his 40-plus years of experience, and John Sharrard’s Inside Tech column offers up some spring prep tips. And if you’re looking for a ride or rally to participate in, look no furthern than page 38 for a full summer schedule from coast to coast.

Historical competition coverage includes a look back at the AJS Porcupine racer, retro Ducatis racing within the current Canadian vintage scene, the history of women at Daytona and Frank Wood’s second part of his two-part column on Triumph’s return to flat track.

We’ve also got 3 pages of in-depthy racing schedules that covers almost every series and event you could imagine in Canada! There’s all of this and a lot more in the current issue of Inside Motorcycles, on stands now at Chapters, Indigo and Coles bookstores, or by subscribing here – it’s easy – just click the ‘Subscribe’ button near the top of this page, and you’re on your way!
