Trevor Daley of Mississauga, ON has finalized his plans for the 2014 Mopar Canadian Superbike Championship. Daley, winner of the 2012 Amateur Superbike championship and runner-up in 2013 Sunoco Pro Rookie of the Year voting, will campaign two Suzuki GSX-R1000 motorcycles through the 2014 season. Zaid Saleemi of Z1 Cycle Tech (Toronto) has race prepped both of Daley’s mounts.

“My B bike is better this year than my A bike was last year,” confirmed Daley. “I’ve had a lot of help from Jon Cornwell as well. Both of my bikes have been set up by him and of course with Ohlins suspension.”

Daley has confirmed that he will start the season at the RACE regional at Shannonville Motorsports Park (May 9-11) as a tuneup for the opening round of the Mopar CSBK national opener June 6-8.

“I’m really excited about this year,” he enthused. “I’ve got two really good bikes with brand new suspension, new paint schemes… I’ve got two sets of Nexo leathers as well as help from Motovan, I’ll be wearing a Shoei helmet thanks to them. Rahul Dua of DUA Motorsports is supplying the bodywork. So yeah, it should be good.”

Daley noted that he is on a fitness program that includes a new diet and racing his Honda 450 motocross bike. He entered a CMRC motocross race at Gopher Dunes recently and ran away with the Beginners class win. “I guess it’s pretty high risk,” Daley admitted, “I mean it would suck to get hurt and miss any Superbike races, but I’ve got to get as much riding and saddletime as I can get and it helps me stay in shape.”
