Over the past several seasons of MotoGP, Ducati has occasionally experimented with wings on the side of the Desmosedici to influence its aerodynamic characteristics. Yamaha also used wings in the latter part of last season on the M1, and wings have sporadically appeared on other bikes in the past. Until late last year the wings in use have been quite small, but during testing this year the Ducatis have sprouted two very large wings on each side.

In the works for more than a year now, Ducati finally introduced its Desmosedici GP15 MotoGP bike at the Sepang test last month. The results were quite promising: Even though the bike had barely turned a wheel before the test, Andrea Iannone posted the fourth-quickest time of the three days and both Iannone and Andrea Dovizioso were pleased with the bike.

A Night In Red Raises Funds For SickKids Hospital

Inside Motorcycles was honoured to be among the distinguished guests invited to A Night In Red, a fundraiser hosted by Rev It Up For SickKids on March 6 in Toronto.

Held at Forget About It Supper Club in the heart of Toronto’s entertainment district, A Night In Red was a Ducati-themed charity event for the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. Upon arrival at the formal soirée, guests were offered a Ducati-insipired cosmo cocktail and photographed with a gorgeous 1199 Panigale S; each woman was also given a rose. The evening featured great food, an open bar, live DJ, cigar rollers, an auction and the chance to mix and mingle with fellow motorcyclists, enthusiasts, representative from SickKids Foundation and corporate sponsors, including representatives from Ducati.
