@YamahaMotorCA •October 13, 2016 (Toronto, ON) – Keeping on the throttle, Yamaha releases the most anticipated model of 2017. Filled with R-DNA, the newly redesigned YZF-R6 shares performance and styling from the YZF-R1M and YZF-R1.

Performance highlights for the new YZF-R6 include 6-mode traction control system, YZF-R1 based KYB front suspension and front brakes which includes ABS with larger 320 mm dual front discs, newly designed KYB piggyback rear shock, Yamaha’s D-Mode system, aluminum fuel tank, slimmer magnesium rear subframe, and optional Quick Shift System

The 2017 YZF-R6 takes heavy styling cues from the YZF-R1 with a race-ready front fairing with LED headlights, slim LED position lights, and new rear tail section. These defining features give the YZF-R6 its unique visual appeal and also create very little air resistance making it highly aerodynamic.

The all-new YZF-R6 is available in three colours; Deep Purplish Blue Metallic, Matte Dark Grey Metallic, and Bluish White Pearl.

Yamaha also releases the remaining 2017 models including the extremely popular and re-styled FZ-09, FZ-07, and YZF-R3 which all come with available ABS.

Complete information on all 2017 models is available at Yamaha-Motor.ca.
