We got this message from Alberta Mini Roadracing Association Vice President Rob Ross.
“Mini Roadracers, RMM and friends,
As you well know, Calgary and most of southern Alberta have been hit with record rainfall and associated flooding that comes with it. Hundreds of thousands of people have been directly affected and this disaster will resonate within us for a long time. Our thoughts go out to all of these people.
Not to downplay the seriousness of what has happened, but I am here to tell you that as of today, we still intend on hosting our national event in less than one week’s time.
I was at this track and it has water on it but no more than from a heavy downfall of rain. The pumps are running and it should be dry by mid week, so we are good to go for Friday night’s practice starting at 5:00PM!! If you are able to volunteer, please let us know!!
Once again, camping is available at the track!
Safe travels and see you all next weekend.”
