Dan continued his winning form this past weekend on his Nature Power Kawasaki ZX10R in the 100F+ heat to take 4 podiums including class Win (Relay) to remain unbeaten in 2023 in the N2 National Endurance Championship. It was a 4-hour endurance event where Dan teamed up with MotoAmerica regulars Jason Waters and Gabriel Da Silva. We immediately took the lead and kept it for the first 28 laps and had an exciting race with multiple heavyweight champions Army of Darkness. The lead would change back and forth throughout the 4-hours and even though we were racing in difference classes, it gave the fans quite a show with the pit wall packed with team members from the entire paddock for the final 10 laps of the race. With about 15 laps to go, Dan would struggle with front tyre grip which was likely from selecting the wrong compound Pirelli for the heat/distance and had to unexpectantly pit with 8 laps to go. That would ultimately give Army of Darkness the lead and they would go on to win the overall by just 10 seconds.
A big thanks to Dan’s teammates as Jason put in the quickest lap of the entire race – all classes combined and we ended up winning our class by 11 laps to 2nd place in Relay. A strong showing for the Nature Power Kawasaki Team. Sunday was WERA Sprint races where Dan managed a win and two 3rd place finishes to finish up on a high note for the weekend.
