(April 14, 2016)- Canadian Dan Kruger’s Pacha Macau Kawasaki Superbike Team wanted to give the public an update on Kruger’s condition. On March 13, in the days leading up to the opening round of the 2016 China Superbike Championship, Kruger suffered a serious injury that forced him to withdraw from that event along with all races in the foreseeable future.
Dan has numerous fractured vertebrae along with other damage in his back. He also fractured his foot and further damaged his right hand along with re-injuring his right small finger. He suffered a minor concussion as well which has already cleared up.
After spending a week in a hospital in Asia and going through surgery, he was transported back home where he will begin a long recovery process and only then will he and the team be in a position to discuss the next steps and future plans.
Dan wants to thank Doctor Raymond Yip at the Matilda International Hospital for the excellent care given and the entire staff at the hospital. The team wants to thank all their sponsors and supporters who continue to stand behind them.
