The 2018 edition of the Motorcycle Show rolled into Toronto’s Enercare Centre on February 16 to 18, and Inside Motorcycles was on hand to say hello to our readers, take in all the action and check out the latest models and products.

In addition to prize draws that saw one lucky winner take home a Kawasaki Versys 300X during Friday’s She Rides night followed by a double giveaway of two Kawasaki Z125 Pro motorcycles on Saturday afternoon, motorcycle enthusiasts in attendance were treated to riding demonstrations by the Ontario Provincial Police Golden Helmets as well as stunt show featuring Craig Latimer and Cesare Costantini. As always the Yamaha Riding Academy proved to be a hit with kids while displays by associations and groups such as the Ontario Federation of Trail Riders and the Vintage Road Racing Association drew large crowds throughout the weekend.

The large gathering of motorcyclists also provided an opportunity for a couple of manufacturers to hold the Canadian debut of their latest products.

One of the motorcycles garnering attention throughout the weekend was Kawasaki’s Z900RS Café. While the nostalgic “root beer” coloured Z900RS had been present at other Canadian shows, the Toronto Show marked the first appearance of the café racer version in the impossible to miss Kawasaki Green.

Proving that the Motorcycle Show truly does have something for everyone, Yamaha chose Toronto for the Canadian unveiling of the all-new YZ65. Built as a stepping stone to the brand’s 85 cc dirt bike, the two-stroke YZ65 definitely drew the attention of young show goers.

Another highlight of the show was the CSBK autograph and interview session with several road-racing stars, including 12-time Canadian Superbike Champion Jordan Szoke. Judging by the turnout for this session as well as an information meeting to outline the rules and regulations for CSBK’s new amateur lightweight sport bike class, the future of road racing in Canada is very strong.

The Motorcycle Shows will wrap up their 2018 schedule after the final show in Montreal on February 23 to 25. Details on the Motorcycle Shows can be found online at www.motorcycleshows.ca.
