The 2016 AMA Pro Flat Track Grand National Championsip season got underway at the Daytona Flat Track with a doubleheader on March 10-11. Among the 50-plus riders in GNC1 and the 80-plus in GNC2, six Canadians were on hand to try their luck on the slick short track.

Epic. Mega. Once-in-a-lifetime. A dream year. Call it what you will, but 2014 was on heck of a year for me. In this blog there will be facts, name-dropping, a little bit of bragging, and some cold, hard facts. When someone told me I should start a bucket list, I did. They forget to tell me that I didn’t need to fulfill everything on that list in the first year! It did create quite a busy year for me, but looking back as we see the year coming to an end, all I can say is… wow, mission accomplished!

UK racer Simon Andrews perishes following crash at Northwest 200

Dan Kruger's teammate on the Penz13.com BMW race team, Simon Andrews, has died after a fatal crash during the Northwest 200. It was a tragic end to a wonderful race weekend for Kruger, who had four Top 25 finishes in the 40-bike fields.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (March 15, 2014) - Danny Eslick's return to the AMA Pro GoPro Daytona SportBike class couldn't have been more spectacular. The native of Broken Arrow, OK, and a two-time series champ won pole and then outlasted the competition to take the 73rd Daytona 200. Eslick, aboard a Riders Discount Racing Triumph, won Triumph's first Daytona 200 since 1967 by 10.975 seconds.

Montreal’s Dominguez ready for debut at Daytona

Mopar CSBK Pro racer Franklyn Dominguez will be making his first appearance in AMA Pro Superbike competition at Daytona International Speedway on March 14-15 for the AMA season opener/Daytona 200. The four-time Dominican SBK champ and recently crowned Pan American Champion will ride the OCM Racing Kawasaki ZX-10Rs that will wear number 711 in the two 15-lap races.

Friday a Thrilling Day at Daytona for Canadian Racers and Fans!

The highlight of the Friday's Daytona action was an incredible race for Maple Ridge, BC's Steve Crevier in the Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson XR1200 race. The Motosport Plus/Dominion Lending/Motorhead-backed racer had very little practice on Thursday due to mechanical problems, leaving him 11th on the starting grid. Crevier however quickly moved through the field to fight amongst the top three motorcycles, briefly leading the race before finishing in 5th, just 0.37 seconds behind winner Tyler O'Hara.
