GRAND BEND, ONTARIO (May 8, 2015) – The Victoria Day Weekend tradition continues May 15-17 when the 2015 season gets underway for the Quick 32 Sportsman Series and the Pro Bike & Sled Series.

Both drag racing series will participate during the Leaf Racewear Spring Blowout presented by Rocksedge & Veloce Italian Kitchen over the May 15-17 Canadian holiday weekend at the Grand Bend Motorplex.

Comprised of both Top Dragster and Top Sportsman entries, the Quick 32 Sportsman Series will kick off its seventh year of exciting competition. Running under indexing rules to give all racers an even chance of winning, cars in this series are powered by engines ranging from single carburetors to sophisticated supercharger and turbocharger set-ups, and speeds of well over 200 mph in the quarter-mile are easily obtained.

Now in its fifth year, the PBSS competes with entries in its Pro Bike and Pro Sled classes, and is presented by Wiseco Performance Products. Motorcycles and snowmobiles are purpose-built with only winning in mind, and these machines can travel down the track in under eight seconds at speeds approaching 170 mph.

There is camping for the weekend event, with racing in the Extreme 32 Series, the Thunder Series, along with Junior Dragster and Bracket racing, visit from the Chicago Rush Jet Dragster, the Leverich Top Fuel Dragster Team will be making some test runs, Music in the Campground and SO MUCH MORE!

And Grand Bend will be the scene for the opening round of the Can-Am Stock/Super Stock Series, which will begin its 18th season. Last year’s Can-Am champion, Brian Clayton, will be back to defend his title.

The Quick 32 Sportsman Series, www.Quick32.ca now in its seventh year of operation, competes several times each season with the PBSS, www.PBSS.ca providing an exciting and colorful package of drag racing action.
