Epic. Mega. Once-in-a-lifetime. A dream year. Call it what you will, but 2014 was on heck of a year for me. In this blog there will be facts, name-dropping, a little bit of bragging, and some cold, hard facts. When someone told me I should start a bucket list, I did. They forget to tell me that I didn’t need to fulfill everything on that list in the first year! It did create quite a busy year for me, but looking back as we see the year coming to an end, all I can say is… wow, mission accomplished!

Kruger withdraws from Isle of Man TT out of respect for teammate Andrews

Canadian racer Dan Kruger has withdrawn from the 2014 Tourist Trophy races at the Isle of Man out of respect of his late teammate Simon Andrews. Kruger had to face a couple of things during the days before and during the TT, as it was only one week before that he was at Simon’s side when he passed away after his bad crash at the North West 200.

I arrived on the Isle of Man from my race in the Czech Republic (see Part II of my Isle of Man blog) and hopped in my rental car. My phone GPS wasn’t working, so I was using an actual paper map to find my hotel. Yes, they still offer paper maps in some parts of the world.

Canadian-based international Superbike racer Dan Kruger has signed to race for the factory-supported BMW Racing Team Penz13.com for both the legendary Isle of Man TT and the “fastest race in the world,” the Northwest 200.
