TORONTO, Ont. (January 10, 2013) – All rounds have been confirmed for the 2013 Mopar Canadian Superbike Championship, with the season set to wrap up at Le Circuit Mont-Tremblant in late August.

Additionally, two dates have been changed from the provisional schedule that appeared late last year. The event at Autodrome St-Eustache in St-Eustache, Que. is now round two of the series on July 5-7, while the Atlantic Motorsport Park race in Shubenacadie, N.S. has become the third round of the season on July 26-28.

As in 2012, the national campaign opens at Shannonville Motorsport Park on June 7-9, while the doubleheader at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park on August 9-11 is now the penultimate stop for the series.

“We always strive to have consistency in our venues and dates from year to year, so it is nice to have the same tracks hosting the national series this year and continuing the strong tradition of top caliber motorcycle road racing in these parts of the country,” said Kevin Graham of Frontline CSBK Inc., which organizes the Mopar Canadian Superbike Championship.

This will mark the first time Mont-Tremblant has staged the final round of the season. The picturesque and popular 4.26km venue made a return to the series in 2012 after a four-year absence from the calendar. Last year’s Superbike feature at Mont-Tremblant was one of the classic races of all-time, with eventual series champion Jordan Szoke only just winning from Matt McBride and Jodi Christie after the latter had made a heroic charge through the pack on a drying track.

“Racers love the challenge of Mont-Tremblant and it traditional produces some great racing,” added Graham. “Having it serve as the final round of the national championship should only heighten the excitement and make for a spectacular weekend.”

Canada’s most successful Pro Superbike competitor, Brantford, Ont.’s Szoke is expected to return to defend his number one plate and Canada Cup aboard the works supported Parts Canada BMW S1000RR. Currently Szoke holds a number of overall CSBK Series records, including Superbike crowns (eight) and Superbike National race victories (40). Last year, four Pro racers won National CSBK Feature race rounds, including Szoke, Andrew Nelson, Alex Welsh and Kevin Lacombe.
