Canadian XR1200 race program returns

CONCORD, Ont. – Deeley Harley-Davidson® Canada has announced this year’s Canadian Harley-Davidson® XR1200® Cup Series participation in the 2013 Mopar Canadian Superbike Championship. For the third year in a row Deeley is offering a full racing program for racers interested in joining the Canadian Harley‑Davidson® XR1200® Cup Series, a spec-bike series that features specially modified Harley‑Davidson® XR1200® and XR1200X™ motorcycles.

New this year, authorized Canadian Harley-Davidson® Retailers will be able to co-op up to $3,000 in expenses towards their race bike, encouraging more participation from new racers.

Vance & Hines continues to be the official supplier for the special kit parts, which include a Fuelpak, Exhaust System, and more. In addition to the kit parts, teams will be able to upgrade their suspension, hand and foot controls, brake components, and instrumentation.

Deeley Harley-Davidson® Canada is pleased to see its veteran racer, Darren James, gearing up for the competition, as well as returning champions Steve Crevier from MotoSport Plus, Michael Taylor from Mackie Harley-Davidson®, Blaise Fougere sponsored by Atlantic Retailers and Elie Daccache sponsored by both Harley-Davidson® de L’Outaouais and Freedom Harley-Davidson® of Ottawa.

“We are really excited about the 2013 Racing season; CSBK and MOPAR have really stepped up this year,” said James, Manager, Racing Programs. “We look forward to welcoming new American blood, and seeing our veteran racers take on the competition.”

Round 3            July 26-28               Atlantic Motorsport Park                              Shubenacadie, Nova Scotia

Round 4-5         August 9-11            Canadian Tire Motorsport Park                     Bowmanville, Ontario

Round 6            August 23-25           Le Circuit Mont-Tremblant                            Mont-Tremblant, Québec
