Belfountain, Ontario’s Kenny Riedmann scored a splendid third place finish in the K&N Performance Filters Pro Sportbike National Championship held at Le Circuit Mont Tremblant this past weekend.

Reidmann qualified his Sturgess Cycle Triumph Daytona 675 British triple for a front row start in Saturday’s official qualifying. “That was fun,” stated Kenny, “What a great track. I followed Jodi (Christie) and ran up on him a couple of times but I didn’t want to push too hard. I didn’t want to make any mistakes. This is a new track for me and I’ve been on Dunlops in the AMA all year so the Pirellis are new to me, and take some getting used to. We were also trying a new suspension set up. Jon Cornwell helped us with a new set of forks and a new rear shock, and yeah I’m real happy.”

In the National Championship twelve lap final Riedmann got an excellent start and slotted in behind early race leader and eventual second place finisher Raphael Archambault. “I got a really good start then Jodi passed me,” he confirmed. ” I tried to stay with them and then just decided to bring it home. There was no one in sight behind me so. I’m satisfied with my ride, it was first time with the new shock, first time on those tires, its too bad it rained so much this week.”

This was the Sturgess Cycle Triumph teams first appearance on the Mopar CSBK tour for 2012. Riedmann will ride the double-header finale at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park before heading south again to join the AMA Pro Daytona Sportbike series as it heads into New Jersey Motorsport Park.
