The Canadian Motorcycle Drag Racing Association marked the beginning of summer with a return to the dragstrip at Mission Raceway Park in British Columbia for the Pacific Coast Nationals on June 20th and 21st.
Once again, the Screamin’ Eagle Pro Dragster class proved to be a fan favourite, with Dan Ramage’s 7.666 second, 168.44 mph qualifying effort earning the Red Deer, AB resident the number one spot on the ladder, ahead of Sherwood Park’s Evan Barsness at 7.715 seconds. Sunday afternoon elimination rounds saw both Ramage and Barsness advance through the 10-bike field, setting up a final round showdown between the top two qualifiers. With mechanical issues preventing Barsness from making it to the starting line, Ramage celebrated his first ever Pro Dragster trophy and entertained the spectators by recording his best time of the weekend with a 7.614 ET solo run.
Other racing action saw 2014 champion Ethan Barkley return to top of the Pro Street podium and Oregon resident Jeff Marsh take the win in the BlackJacks Roadhouse Pro Mod class.
