For over 25 years, the team at Precision Frameworx, led by Brent Robertson, has been in the business of turning their customer’s dreams into reality. Like all of the countless creations that have rolled out the doors of the company’s Calgary shop, this Cholo style custom is a definite head turner.
Although it may have started its life as a 2006 Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail Classic, the motorcycle in these photos reflects a complete transformation combining classic styling with modern technology.
While the Samson 42-inch true dual fishtail exhaust setup, Carlini gangster ape handlebar and 23-inch fat-spoke front rim are sure to capture your attention, the devil is definitely in the details including the LePera white seat and Biltwell white grips which tie into the white wall tires.
A front and rear air ride setup allows for the bike to be dropped down for an even more low-slung perspective which is accentuated by the Klock Werks 4-inch rear fender that the PFX team extended by almost five inches. Starting with the existing blue of the tank, PFX’s painter was able to match this colour and apply it to the fenders before adding a touch of flake to make the entire bike pop. Bringing an additional level of shine, the finished bike includes a Dirty Bird chrome swing-arm and 19-inch Waffle Boards by CycleSmiths.
Photographing a motorcycle of this caliber requires a backdrop as unique as the bike itself. In this case the team from PFX came through again when they received permission to do the shoot at one of the most eccentric homes in Calgary. The resulting photos are among some of my all-time favourites and I hope you enjoy them as much as I did taking them.
