Preparations are well underway for the 2023 flat track season at Pouliot Racing and 2022 Canadian champion Dave Pouliot is going to be a little busier this season. Along with defending both of his Expert titles that he earned last year in the Flat Track Canada series, Pouliot also has plans to cross the border a few times to do battle in the American Flat Track Singles class as well.
Pouliot and Canadian Kawasaki Motors mutually parted ways after his 2022 Championship winning season, and this year he will be on board a pair of fresh 450cc machines courtesy of John Parker Racing. Along with JPR, Pouliot will receive support in Canada from Roof Systems of Dallas, Moto Vanier, Magic Screed, Menuiserie Pouliot, Inglis Cycle, MD Distribution, 26 Suspension, Garrtech, FXR, 6D Helmets, Garret 64, Webcams and the C2 training crew.
With his sights set on retaining the number one plate in Canada, Pouliot is also hoping to make a splash stateside in his limited appearances in the AFT series. While he will still be riding his JPR 450’s in the AFT events, Pouliot will be getting significant backing and race day support courtesy of Jerry Stinchfield and Roof Systems of Dallas. Along with taking part in the Red Mile in Lexington Kentucky, Pouliot also plans on attending the half mile in Lima Ohio, the Orange County Half Mile in Middletown New York, and the Bridgeport Half Mile in Swedesboro New Jersey.
Pouliot will see his 2023 season begin on May 27th as he hits the Red Mile in Kentucky for his first ever race on a one mile oval, while his first chance to fly the number one plate here in Canada will be June 10th at the Flat Track Canada season opener at Welland County Speedway.
