In 1984, an icon of the motorcycle industry was born; the Kawasaki GPZ900R introduced many leading technological innovations, from its diamond frame that used the engine as a stressed member to the air-assisted fork springs. It also became the very first sport bike to receive the Ninja nameplate.
40 years later, the Ninja name remains a legacy that speaks to the pedigree of any motorcycle that bears it. To highlight four decades of spirited riding and championship-winning performance, Kawasaki introduces its 2024 Ninja ZX 40th Anniversary lineup.
Our 2024 Ninja ZX-4RR, Ninja ZX-6R, Ninja ZX-10R, and Ninja ZX-14R will be available in a special green, white, and blue 40th Anniversary Edition livery inspired by the early 90s Ninja ZX-7, holder of three FIM Endurance World Championship titles.
That same Ninja ZX-7R won an unparalleled nine-straight Canadian Superbike Titles from 1991-1999. The storied history of Ninja in Canada includes a total of 14 national superbike championship wins in Canada — the most of any nameplate, and 15 pro sport bike (600cc) national titles.
As well as special paint and graphics, all four models also receive a set of matching green wheels and a 40th Anniversary emblem on the fuel tank. The Ninja ZX 4RR also receives a silver painted fairing and swingarm while the Ninja ZX-6R and Ninja ZX-10R that sport the same silver accents also feature gold painted fork tubes.
